God Bless all those who serve our country both here and abroad! We thank you with all our hearts! It's because of you that we are free to worship, homeschool and live in the greatest country in the world. Thank You!!!!!!
We have been busy on our little "farm" enlarging the chicken pen and planning out the duck and turkey pens for the Spring. If all goes well, we'll begin incubating & hatching chick's, ducks and turkeys in the Spring and be butchering by Fall of 2010. Hopefully we'll be able to convert the old "tray warmer" we salvaged into a working incubator. The baby chicks we have now were finally big enough to graduate to the chicken pen. They are still in their protective cage until they get acclimated to the older hens. Who would have thought chickens could be so territorial!
The boy's have been busy learning math I barely recognize or remember from my school days. I'm getting a crash refresher coarse in reducing fractions, proportions, ratios, LCD's and GCD's They've also been swimming several times a day, thoroughly enjoying the new pool they put in with Dad.
Ed's doing great. He's got a dinner date with my best girlfriends Grandma (Dot) every Friday and seems to be enjoying his new found friend. They LOVE the Cracker Barrel in Sullivan and sitting out on her porch visiting.
We pray everyone is enjoying the freedoms bought and paid for by our men & women in the service. God Bless and Happy Independance Day!
