Wiped out!

That's how my hubby's been coming home from work, completely wiped out.  All I can do as his helpmeet is make sure that when he comes home all he has to do is relax. Ladies if your man works outside in this heat, unpacking his lunch box, making a nice dinner for him and just being available for him in the evenings is so very important.

The boys and I have had a light week as far as "outside the house" activities go, a visit with friends, martial arts, cleaning church and music lessons. Our "summer schedule" has pretty much come down to devotions, math and music practice as our school work. Our homeschool class will start back up at the end of July.

My niece is out this week and they've been having "math think tanks." You can smell the brain cells burning! Considering she was a child who was flunking out of Algebra in the public school system only 8 months ago and now she's excelling in math, in my opinion proves the fault is not with the child, it's with the system!

They've been enjoying the pool, I've been getting some reading done. It's amazing to me how much better our day flows when we make time to be in His word each morning. It's such a relaxing hour for us. I love the deep questions the children ask at this age and the discussions those questions lead too. We've been ordering lots of things from the "Love Worth Finding" site when they have their "Netbuys" on Wednesday and mark items down. We love listening to Adrian Rodgers sermons. What an amazing godly man that God is still using long after being called home to heaven. He has a book out called "Family Survival in an x-rated World" and it is a MUST READ for every Christian parent.

Well laundry is calling (when isn't it??) so I must go... have a blessed day and be a blessing!

Change of Scenery!

A new season, a new look! What a pain!!! HTML is NOT my strength!

It's too hot out for humans in my opinion! I find myself praying for my husbands protection every time I have to step outside even for a minute. I would much rather spend my day inside, teaching, cleaning, organizing, reading and meal planning.
