Catching up.......

So in the month of November besides going to the dentist, visting the Symphony, History Museum, Swimming Centre and having my cousins family out to a bonfire, we've made several trips into St. Louis trying to get ready for Christmas and also to my folks for Thanksgiving. Aren't their Doxie's adorable!!! Sophie and Samson are otherwise known as my "sister & brother." We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my parents and my "real" brother and his family. We played games and ate till we were beyond stuffed. It's hard to believe November is almost past... October went so quickly too. I hope all is well with everyone out there and that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for! God has been so faithful in all that he does. We are so blessed and so incedibly humbled by His care. We're excitedly waiting for Christmas to be here! I LOVE everything about the celebration of our Savior's birth! I cry at every Carol and feel so privilaged to BELIEVE!

Swimming at the Centre

It had abeen awhile since the boys had been swimming and with the weather cool now the only place to go is the Centre.

St. Louis History Museum

The tour of the History Museum after our concert was about hero's in history. A couple of the people we learned about were Dred Scott and Charles Lindbergh.

Powell Symphony Hall

Wow! Here I am playing catch up on all our news = )
We've been busy, busy, busy as usual. We have done so many things since I last posted that I have my calendar near by so I don't forget anything. We went to another "Young People's" concert at St. Louis Powell Symphony Hall which is always a wonderful homeschool field trip. We have been to 3 now and this one was followed up by a docent lead tour at the St. Louis History Musuem. We thoroughly enjoy the concerts and are so lucky that Hubby likes to go with us too. We have another scheduled in January and w're really looking forward to it.

Building Bat Houses

We met a small group of homeschoolers to build bat houses at Missouri Dept. of Conservation on Friday morning. Hubby did a great job of helping all the kids assemble their bat houses. One of the children noticed an Owl sitting on the ground near where we were building and apon asking the MDC staff about it we were told someone had dropped it off there. We were able to take a few photos and look at it up close, then we left it alone as to not scare it.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Happy Halloween to all! Here are my little Ninja's posing with "Jack the Pumpkin King" at the "Trunk & Treat" we attended at Sullivan Christian Church. Above them is the "Candy Monster" aka my hubby.

October has passed... I have no idea how or where but it's gone. The first few days of November are pretty busy too. We've been plugging away at our studies today so that we can go build Bat Houses tomorrow at the Missouri Dept. of Conservation. Then we have to meet our health food co-op truck in the afternoon to unload and separate all our clubs deliveries. Then that evening we are off to the big Brown Belt test... a FULL day for sure!

Much of our life is like that... plugging away at studies and moving from one activity to the next. Our weekend at the lodge was WONDERFUL! The boys spent most of the weekend on the lake rowing something or other. I had many quiet, holding hands moments with my dear hubby which I will treasure forever. Hope all of you are enjoying the Autumn weather........
Be blessed and be a blessing!
