Praise God we survived the storms that raged through Missouri today. Our hearts are heavy and we are praying for all those who will be starting the new Year without a home or possibly a loved one because of the tornado's.
2010... a time of reflection. It's been a year with many trials and tribulations but it's been a year of blessing and overwhelming joy at the Lord's provision in our lives. It never ceases to amaze us how no matter what the circumstances we always have what we need, when we need it. Yes, we'er sinful at times and worry and whine about our wants but then we look at what we have, we feel truly humbled by how He meets our every need.
Times are tough, we don't know a single family that's not struggling in some way or another but each of them has continuously shared experience after experience of the Lord's timely provision in their lives. I see God caring for His children time and time again.
As midnight draws near I feel a little hesitant going into the new year. Although I know He is in control, there's a part of me that always wants to know the plan and is unsettled that He doesn't seem to think that's necessary. Will we be okay financially? Will our health be good? Will I do well teaching the boys this year? Will our van continue to be road worthy????????? So many unanswered questions, huge concerns... but I know whatever happens He will be there, helping us through it, teaching us, sanctifying us, refining us into what He intends for us to be... and that's good enough for me. With that thought I welcome 2011, excited to see what it will bring. I pray I will grow to be a better wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt & friend. That we will be prosperous spiritually and be a blessing to others.
