We were so excited to get a good snow! That's becoming a rare thing in Missouri it seems. This photo shows a view of the woods, treehouse and chicken coop from our house. The chickens didn't want to come out in the snow until Keegan took a large bowl of carrot scraps out to bribe them (grin). Then they only came out long enough to feast. The boys & pups however, LOVED the fluffy white stuff! As you can tell from all the tracks in the yard left very little of it undiscovered. Lessons are going really well. We have more then enough hours in to satisfy the state (about double their required amount) and are basically just doing lessons now to keep our routine. We are taking a lighter approach with lessons as we usually do this time of year. We'll break completely from December 22nd to Jan. 5th except for 3 subjects. Math, reading and piano are things we do most everyday of the year. We have homeschool skating Wed. and the kids are looking forward to seeing their friends. We've spent a lot of time in St. Louis the last few weeks with family but it's been a awhile since they've seen their friends outside of martial arts. Winter gets like that sometimes. When everyone is showing signs of "cabin fever" the Mom's arrange a playdate. I think it's as much for us as it is them!
Christmas is almost here and we are awaiting it with much anticipation! The true meaning of Christmas is so humbling and precious. Every year as I grow more mature in my Christian faith, it becomes even more clear just how absolutely awesome our Father in Heaven is. What was done for me personally through Jesus gift of salvation. I will never stop praising Him for opening my eyes to what it means to be truly saved and child of my Lord. I pray that if you don't know Him personally... deeply... in this way that you will seek Him, He is ALWAYS there! Always ready to meet us right where we are... He is a pray away waiting to hear from you, His child whom He loves.
