We got rain! and thunder and lightening and wind...

We finally got some much needed rain, and boy did it come in with a roar! Strong winds, tonado warnings, thunder and plenty of lightening! We lost our power for awhile (right before I started dinner) and had to entertain ourselves without any modern convienences. The boys and I didn't care, we all piled into my bed for a tickle match = ) Hubby called home to see if he needed to pick up dinner since the power was out everywhere and thankfully brought home chicken and potato wedges. After dinner was over the power was still out so daddy joined us for round two of tickling piled up in our bed. When everyone had been tickled enough the boys went into check on Grandpa who proceeded to keep them busy counting a mug of pennies with the promise they could keep them. Did you know approx. 6 lbs of pennies is about 12$?? The power came back on after a few hours and everything was back to normal. We got a good drenching rain which we desperately needed plus it cooled things off a bit. Today is a much cooler day, eighties instead of 100* (hopefully we'll be kissing those temps goodbye for the year). Ruby and Elizabeth are soooooo sweet! I never thought I would say that about a rat (go figure) but they really are. They are so gentle and so open to being handled and touched. They have been really patient with everyone and they LOVE grapes! I will upload new pics later of them being serenaded by piano playing and excersing in their balls = )
