Our family get together

We had a family get together yesterday in St. Louis at my parent's house. It was good to see all my cousins, aunts and uncles. It's still interesting to me to see all of us getting older and our families growing up. I guess there's still a part of me that keeps everyone frozen in time. My great Aunt Clara turns 94 this month and we all had gifts for her. She is still amazingly mobile and alert for her age. Can you even imagine having seen 94 years of life?? All the changes in our society just since she was a girl... incredible! The boys had a wonderful time in their grandparents swimming pool playing with their cousins. They also performed their newest pieces on the piano for everyone. Katelyn was very excited to see mom after all these weeks. She loved being here with us but was getting kinda homesick for mommy and her puppies. It was strangely quiet coming home without her and I'll miss her constant chatter. We made a stop on the way home at some of our favorite stores while in the "big city" and the boys picked up a new interest that I will share in another post.
