So I've tried to update several times and each time I tried to add pictures it would freeze and eventually be lost :(
There have been WAY to many things happen since November 2014 for me to even begin to fill you in, lol
I will start with where we are today... to date we have tried our hand at animal husbandry! We had our first 14 kits born in the rabbitry and we have 10 turkeys eggs in the newly acquired incubator, yes we have added turkey's to the homestead :) It started with a freebie and well you know how that goes, now we have 3 yearlings with more on the way!
the littles are all growing like weeds, doing great in school, and loving their country life... we've come a long way. The Lord has been so patient and kind to us, we've learned so much, and continue to learn and grow, each and everyday.
The olders are starting to move into the next phases of their lives, Nathaniel has a job now and is socking money away for when he starts college. Keegan is wrapping up high school, could have finished this year but decided to do a few more advanced math courses first, love the freedom of homeschooling!!
Charlie is still at MoDot, working hard. He's looking forward to getting a large workshop and having a man cave that I will frequent often, lol.
We are in a "building stage on the homestead phase". This is a year of building and projects, moving animal pens, heavy equipment coming to clear more land for the work shop and a future orchard. Plus re-doing and adding to our garden area. New raised beds, hoop style green houses, and running power to other areas of our little homestead. Next year will be a "growing phase on the homestead" when we plant the new garden areas and the start the orchard :) Lot's of work, lot's of learning, lot's of family time... wouldn't have it any other way!
God Bless, the Corbett Family
Deuteronomy 6:7 "And you shall teach them diligently unto your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up."
and ever
